I volunteered with Mountain Madness again this fall as a pace group leader to train for the Halllow's Eve Trail Race and the Phantom Trail Race:

We also did some exploring around our own City and discovered the walking trails at the Maplewood Flats Conservation area:
And We finally ticked off the Lions! We hiked the Howe Sound Crest Trail (Click here for Map) from Cypress Bowl to the base of the West Lion and finally did the scramble to the summit of the West Lion. A great hike and scramble, minus the rocks getting kicked down on us from inexperienced scramblers above; 8 hr 45 min, 22 km day trip:
In amongst the hiking, we checked out the Bon Jovi Concert; good times, great Show:
We had a couple weeks of foggy days with a crazy temperature inversion. Lots of fog in the city, but sunny and warm up high. It made for some amazing sunsets:

We also celebrated Mike's Big 3-0 this Fall with a BBQ and this awesome BDay Pumpkin from Aaron:
And we continued the Party in Vegas a few weeks later with Mike's Parents. We stayed at New York, New York, took in a Cirque show, had a tasty steak dinner at Gallagher's, went to the Hoover Dam to see the new bridge and explored the Valley of Fire:
Last weekend we went up to Whistler with the Taylor sisters. We were hoping to go snowshoeing, but there wasnt enough snow, so we hiked along the shores of Cheakamus Lake instead and enjoyed a fun weekend of drinks, good food, hot tubs and good company in a rented condo in the upper village:

And finally, this weekend we are off to two nights of wicked climbing films at the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour. There are still tickets available for Saturday Night if you want to go, get tickets at http://accvancouver.ca/wordpress/bmff-world-tour/
