Climbing Road Trip 2014: Frenchman's Coulee and Skaha

Mike and I spent last week on a climbing Road Trip.  We started out in Frenchman's Coulee, near Vantage, WA, from Friday - Tuesday. We had a great time there hanging out with about a dozen friends. We got on some awesome climbs and ramped up the lead climbing a notch.  We had great weather with sunny warm days and moderate wind with nice clear evenings for star gazing and camp fires.

On Wednesday we took a rest day and drove up to Skaha Bluffs in Penticton. We enjoyed some wine tasting at Hidden Chapel Winery en route and found a nice lake view camp site at Camp-a-long Campground. We climbed for 3 days in Skaha with Aaron and made it up a bunch of new routes. Aaron and Mike pushed the limits finding 2-11a's and a 10d to project and we also got on a variety of other cool routes.  We got rained out on Friday afternoon, but made up for it by going beer tasting at the Cannery Brewery. We enjoyed a wonderful evening BBQ with the Oliver family on Thursday night and great Friday night was spent in Naramata at Aaron's family's house visiting, BBQign and Slack lining.
